Spoiler Installation.

In order to install our Helix spoiler you have to remove the following body parts first:

  • Seat
Remove the seat mounting bolt and remove the seat.
  • Handle Bars
Remove the handle bars by removing the four bolts.
  • Rear lower panels.
Remove the four screws hoding each lower panel (left and right)
  • Helmet holder
Remove the helmet holder by removing the attaching bolt.

After following the above steps, your Helix will look like this:

  • Rear body panel
Remove the four mounting bolts holding the Rear body panel, see image below.
Open the trunk, then lift the complete body panel off.
  • Use a non-permanent marker to mark the locations of the holes you have to drill.
Carefully align the spoiler into its final position. The distance between the trunk-lid edge and the spoilers tip is about 8 3/4 inches.
Then mark the hole locations with the help of the two threaded bosses underneath the spoiler.
Here a picture of the panel with already drilled holes. Holesize approx 3/4 inch. Please make sure to carefully select the hole locations. The pictures provided here are only a guideline with approx values.
Helixparts.com IDDHI TECHNOLOGIES CO LLC is not responsible for damaged body panels due to missplaced holes.
Only the right body panel requires a third "center hole". It is used to route the LED brake harness behind the body panel.
Assemble the spoiler and then cut off the lower end of the LED brakelight harness close to the connector.
Extend the harness By three foot, using standard automotive wire and crimp connectors. Route the harness to the left side of the rear panel assembly.
Locate the taillight connector. you will find it close to the Ignition coil on the left side of your Helix.
Use automotive crimp connectors to create a branch-connection on the green and green-yellow tail light wires.
Connect the red LED brakelight wire to the green-yellow taillight wire and connect the black LED spoiler wire to the green taillight wire.
